Cèsuǒ Fàndiàn (The 'Modern Toilet' Restaurant)

厕所 饭店

I was out with my friends looking for somewhere to eat lunch, when we passed this restaurant - and we just had to eat there.

It is a very bewildering celebration of everything 'toilet'- a toilet-themed restaurant.
Very hard to believe, but more than that, it begs the question: why?

The entrance has a very amusing photo-board that we made the most of...

We were then shown to a table with ceramic toilets as seats (closed of course), the lid converted to a softer cushion. They have a brown cushion in the shape of a turd for comfort.

The glass-topped tables display a ceramic sink and toilet bowl complete with plastic turd. Appetising.

And the walls all around are decked in a variety of bathroom-themed objects: urinals, shower curtains, dressing gowns and miniature turds for sale. Even the food follows the theme: the smoothies come in mini urinals and the deserts in mini toilets.

Food was good though!

I am picking up on the face that it seems to be a popular theme, the toilet, or the 'W.C' as they call it- as this is what I am getting in my classes:

"What did you do today?"
"I went to W.C.!" (lots of laughs)

"What will you do on your holiday?"
"I will go to W.C.!" (lots of laughs)

"What do you like?"
"I like W.C.!" (lots of laughs)

Am I missing something?
